A trip by Moscow Monorail on a sunny September day - September 7, 2014, some photos (clickable).
A view from Ulitsa Milashenkova Station, looking in the direction of the Western terminal point.
Awaiting the train...
And you can see it coming (above).
A human ant hill.
Now photos shot through the carriage window on the move.
Below -- the famous Worker and Farmer sculpture.
That's at the end station.

VreMax: Park walk
More Moscow park walks... and more park views.
This was on August 20, 2014.
Nice park if a bit small but there are ponds and boats can be hired.

In fact, it's the same park I continue to explore -- the Druzhba park in the north of Moscow -- as I pass through the place at least twice weakly.

VreMax: Park Cafe Beef Burger
A burger from a park cafe in the Goncharovsky Park, North Moscow.
On Saturday 20.09.2014 I had "Grand Beef" burger from McDonald's for lunch; on Sunday though the burger came from a summer-style open-air cafe in a small park not far from my place in Moscow.

Sat drinking tea and coffee waiting for the burger.
The burger is made specially for you (if you believe what they say) -- the meat patty is fried for the whole of seven minutes. But you don't see the process, it could still be microwaved.
The burger.

VreMax: Travel: Dubna River
More travel north of Moscow -- photos of the Dubna river at Votria.
The Dubna river as can be seen from the bridge over it at Votria village, north of Moscow.
Looking downstream.
On August 16, 2014, a sunny and hot late summer day.
The river is shallow, perhaps in need of dredging, but is fast flowing at this point.
Looking upstream now.
Some kayaking's going on.

A river cruise on a Raketa: the North River Terminal -- the Bay of Happiness -- the North River Terminal.
On August 9, 2014. Weather: +28C, sunny.
Approaching the North River Terminal.
The North River Terminal in Moscow.
It appears to be under some heavy repairs...
... or maybe even beyond repair.
On the embankment.
Ticket for the cruise on a Raketa.
Quay No. 6.
A view across the water.
The ticket, reverse side.
Quay No. 7 - ours. The Raketa is going to dock here soon.
There she is!
She is coming in to dock.
The Raketa 185 is docked, all aboard. By the way, Raketa 185 is one of only 7 Raketas remaining in operation in Russia (apparently) and one of only three in Moscow. It is 40+ years old, definitely. Still going strong.
Some other river cruise ship.
She is leaving before we do.
My Okeah chronograph -- Ocean on the River so to speak.
